We thought that you may like some key take-aways from the Max Clifford interview - we know you'll come up with a lot more if you watch the interview - however, here's 10 that we grabbed:
1. to be successful in whatever you do you must get into the habit of backing your own judgement / instinct
2. love your job - if you don't: leave it, or get moved
3. focus on your strengths always - be ruthless about what you're 'natural at' and then pursue that
4. focus on action and not talk (remember: strategy is working out what to do, execution is DOING IT... success comes down to great execution)
5. don't be surrounded by sycophants - people will tell you what you want to hear!... great leaders seek out people that will tell you the truth and give you feedback you might not want to hear - it's about the truth not about the ego
6. as a CEO / leader - you do not always have to be the spokesperson - if you're not good at being the spokesperson just have somebody in your team that is
7. if you're in a leadership position - inevitably you'll manage egos! - you must be confident in your expertise and authority, otherwise leadership doesn't work
8. get to know your clients on a 'personal' level - it's often the difference that makes the difference
9. in leadership - you have to be clear about what you want to achieve, and then pursue the easiest and simplest way to achieve the goal - work with the team to strategize on how to achieve the goals
10. anticipation is the key to public relations in a time of crisis - face it full-on, be honest with all the stakeholders and get the right message out there
